Why I started DigMe

I started DigMe because I kept seeing the same problem: business owners who were smart, driven, and good at what they did — but who had no idea where their business stood financially. Not because they didn't care, but because their accountant only called once a year, their books were a mess, and nobody had ever explained any of it in plain language.

I'd spent years in practice watching people make avoidable mistakes — structuring their businesses wrong from the start, missing VAT registration deadlines, paying more tax than they should have because they hadn't planned properly. These weren't complex problems. They were problems that good, timely advice would have solved.

DigMe was built around cloud-first tools from day one — Xero, automated bank feeds, digital filing. Not as a gimmick, but because real-time numbers make real advice possible. Every client runs on Xero. Real-time bank feeds, automated reconciliations, live reporting. We built our practice around modern tools because they make better advice possible — not as an afterthought.

We don't wait for year-end to spot problems. Monthly reports, deadline tracking, and regular check-ins mean issues are flagged before they become expensive. You should never be surprised by your tax bill.

Plain language, always

No jargon, no vague answers. You get a clear explanation of what's happening, what it means for your business, and what to do about it. If you don't understand something, we haven't explained it well enough yet.

Xero setup or migration, correct chart of accounts, bank feeds connected. Usually done within a week. You start seeing clean, real-time numbers almost immediately.

Monthly rhythm

Books reconciled, reports delivered, deadlines tracked. You get a brief monthly summary of what's happening and a direct line for questions — not a ticket queue.

Ongoing advisory

As your business grows or changes, we're there. New employee? Approaching VAT threshold? Planning to raise funding? These conversations happen when they need to, not at year-end.
